Practice prayer

I engage with many practices from Yoga, Qi Gong, Dao Yin and other eastern traditions. Lately I have been practicing the Five Tibetan Rites. All of these traditions offer ways of integrating body, mind, and spirit. I find that gathering these aspects of myself in prayer prior to practicing helps me to experience their benefits in all aspects of my life, which I imaging is an underlying hope of those who created them and so generously taught others.
Earth beneath my feet
Sky above my head
Place and Possibility
Merge into my Being
Thank You for having me here at this moment
Thank You for bring me to these practices
And for bringing these practices to me
May my time here enhance harmony, happiness and vitality within
My body, mind, spirit and emotions.
May I bring this harmony and happiness to all whom I encounter today
Of all shapes and sizes
Known and unknown
May they meet my harmony and happiness
May I meet their harmony and happiness
These are not the exact words I say every morning but it is the basis of my prayer. After this I take some time to feel into others who are also practicing at this moment – it is a wordless time of connection with the best intentions with others who are sincerely engaged with inner and outer peace and happiness. Maybe that’s you!
