Made from trash hand collected from rivers in Bali and recycled tires, these are the best flip flops ever!

I’ve been wearing my pair of trashy sandals for a few weeks and every day they get more comfortable. I was so moved by the story that I spontaneously purchased a pair – and now they might be my favorite flip flops ever!

How I Found Them

Seeking relief from the news one night I began searching the web and came across the remarkable story of Sungai Watch. Rather than caving into hopelessness in the face of the overwhelming amount of trash in their beloved Bali Rivers this team just hopped in and started pulling out the garbage.

Now they have people working and volunteering for them!

And from that garbage comes these excellent sandals. Sungai Watch partners with Indolsole (another amazing group of humans making use of discarded tires) to produce and ship these sandals.
