Retreat to the Self
Healing is hard.
Transforming body, mind, spirit, and emotions requires effort, persistence, and help. The day to day attention needed to actually heal is rarely spoken of. “Make time to rest” – now I all I hear is the noise in my mind. “Eat healthy” – I don’t feel like cooking today. “Exercise” – it’s too cold out. “You are responsible for your healing” – then why am I paying you?
What should I do?
I have studied, practiced, and investigated various forms of healing and spirituality throughout my life. Always in search of the answer to the question of how can I actually be a peaceful, happy, and healthy person? So many promises and so much illusion.
A Personal Retreat

A few times a year I take some days away from the noise outside and face the noise inside. My panicked mind tells me this will be a huge struggle, but after a day or two things settle down. I unplug from technology, take a book or two that is meaningful to me, get a pen and paper, some simple food and chill out! During this time I sort through whatever it is I have been studying, make time to practice whatever form of self-care has my attention, I pay attention to what feels right for me, make adjustments, give myself space to make these practices my own.

It is a reality that it is only we ourselves who can make the journey inward for ourselves. Although this is an individual journey, a little guidance and support along the way is welcomed. It’s great to have good food, meaningful conversation, and gentle advice offered as I look for the signs to peace along my individual path. I have had the good fortune to be accompanied like this throughout my life.
Teresa Crosier, MSOM
I met Teresa in 2005 when we were on the same spiritual healing retreat in Belize. We have remained friends ever since. Teresa is a friend who feels like an ancient companion who I have travelled with over many lifetimes. She has accompanied me through the rough waters of life. Sitting in her kitchen drinking her homemade chai, waiting for one of her incredible stews to finish cooking, we talk. Conversations with Teresa are the kind that actually heal. Her words and presence bring love and awareness into places that rarely see the light of the day, that have seemed hopeless and stuck, and yet I witness them shifting thanks to her compassion and guidance.

In Harmony with Nature
Teresa now offers private retreats at her home in Albuquerque, NM. If taking yourself on a personal retreat is new this is a great way to begin. If you are seeking wise guidance for whatever is challenging you, Teresa may be just the right person to help you through. Use this link to learn more about Teresa’s retreats
